I’ve been trying for days to find something profound, meaningful or beautiful to say & return with a giant splash. Those kinds of expectations never work in practice, so I’ll just say this: am trying to get back with the program — watch this space.

In the meantime, a flower for you:

[Plein soleil]

If you do want beautiful and profound, I’ve recently found out my dear college friend Romy keeps an amazing blog and can fix you up nicely.

Ah, Selva. It is so hot here, I'm limp. I'm wondering if you are limp, too?

  • It's really nice to have you back :)

  • thanks for the flower. and the link, too. :)

    Awww. Purty flower.

If you're worried about posting something monumental, can I suggest that your most moving entries are about the everyday?

  • Nice to hear from you again!

  • Scott beat me to my exact sentiment. Thank you, even for the flower.

  • Jim

Actually, we don't want beautiful and profound, we want every day what-I-had-for-lunch-today Selva, which is, uh, beautiful and profound.

  • Beauty to start a day

    -thank you-

  • Hi hi! Nice flower! Sheesh. A giant splash isn't necessary. I certainly find it's easier to get into the swing of things if you start out easy. Did I say nice flower? 'Cause, you know, it certainly is.

  • Is not the perfection of the flower itself profound?

There. You have given us both perfection and profundity. Worry not.

  • Vanlal

Perfection is over-rated. We're glad to have you back.

    Thank you for the lychees.

Be kind to yourself. You are a precious gift, too.
