Continue the story! Also, try not to notice my recent overuse of the word “gossamer.”
She led him to the edge of the world, where the ground fell away and nothing separated his feet from the void but threads of endless gossamer, stretching into infinity. Hesitant, he turned back, only to find that the path had become a hut, tiny and alone. Dim light shone from within the paper walls, just brightly enough so that by it, her slender body was revealed through the shapelessness of her clothing.
“Beyond this point, I cannot pass,” she mouthed, without voice. He knew it without looking, and did not respond.
